Ok. I'm stumped on this one and trying to figure it out. My stock alarm will go off at random with out anything causing it to happen. It was setting in the middle of a parking lot today with no cars around it and it just started going off. This happens if i lock it with the remote or if i hit the power lock button on the inside, so i'm thinking it's something to do with wiring. The only way it won't go off is if i just push the lock down without using the power lock button or the remote.
I have done some searching and think it has something to do with the GEM system. I pulled the fuse in the cab for that system and it wasn't bad but i replaced it with a bigger one as it had a 7.5 amp in that slot and on the fuse box diagram it showed it needs a 10 amp. Also seeing as that system is tied into a few other things if i disabled the system would that cause issues? So if anyone has any ideas on what might be causing it i would be glad to hear them? I would like to be able to go in somewhere and not worry about my car alarm going off.
