Well ive been on here long enough i guess i might as well make a build thread.
Heres how my truck started. I bought it on ebay with 96,000 miles and a previously rebuilt transmission. It began life as a fire rescue vehicle for a county in georgia.
A few months later i saved enough coin to buy a 4 in rough country lift and some 33s for it. Not too many hills in louisiana but the mud sure is fun.
Not too long after the ole dana 28/35 hybrid gave out on me so i swapped in a true 35. Front driveshaft was a little too long but the band saw and welder took care of that. No pics from this stage
I picked up a set of 37 in goodyear wrangler mt/r's and threw on a body lift to clear them. I also regeared the 7.5 and dana 35 to pull these meats around.
O. and i threw on some FX4 decals for some flash.
Little by little i began adding some small touches just to compliment the beauty of the ranger. Things like a bottle opener in the perfect position for tailgaiting.
Senior year came around and i decided to use my shop class as a good excuse for making a set of bumpers. Some 1 1/2 in tubing and a little plate can make a big difference. The rear was first.
Trying to mount this think by myself was a pain but 2 five gallon buckets, a brick, and a 5/8s wrench turned up set me just high enough
Finally finished.
The front came next using the same materials.
I believe thats enough for today but heres a sneak peak at how the sas turned out.
