I just bought a 1997 xlt 3.0 v6 automatic ford ranger. The truck is in very good condition and I'm in love with it's physical appearance. It has a 6 inch lift with 32 inch tires and travels smooth on the road. I do not have any problems with it in the city but it seems very very sluggish on the highway. I can't go past 60 mph and the engine and tranny are working so hard I only get 200 miles per tank. I really would love to keep this truck so I turn to the pros here at the ranger station to give me advice. What can i do for better high end performance and to save some gas. I was told to change the gear ratio for it is
stock and was not changed by the previous owner.

That much lift and tire size change with no gear ratio modification is loony.

Wait til ya see how fast a 3.0 can really be.
