OK, I skimmed thru the posts and feel compelled to ask... why do you have different ratios in the front and back axles? I don't get it.... :dunno:

no such thing as 513 for a 9inch. i dont know the exact reason, but im pretty sure it has to do with the way the pinion contacts the ring. but, its okay to have up to 5 hundreths of difference between front to rear. some even say thats its almost better to have the front a little taller(faster) than the rear so its more or less is pulling the rear vs the rear pushing the front, which in turn makes it handle better in 4wd. although in my opinion, 5 hundreths, let alone 1 hundreth will not make one bit of difference, in the dirt at least. on pavement there might be a little more binding and premature wear.

quads do it quite often, both with ratios and even alignment, they toe in more than they should, to increase traction... they kinda bind in and the tread digs in a little

rock crawlin' in flip flops. That's what I'm talking about

Love the truck bud.

Why do you wanna go to a 3 link? Seems like you have some pretty damn good flex with the setup you're running now?

Any luck on finding those axles?

hell yea, thats how we roll in cali!!
thanks, im still not 100% on the 3link up front, might just keep the radius arm setup in the front and 4link the rear. havent found axles yet, rather find a 79 d60 somewhere local, but thats not sooo easy to do. 10.25s are cheap, and very easy to get, '79 d60s, not soo much.:annoyed:

Oh I know! I'm still out here. I have been watching junk yards, pick and pull, craigslist, Pirate, Dezertrangers, Race-dezert, all those places have nothing worth buying.

So far i have found a chevy D60 KP here in san diego for 800, which isn't too bad, but not a deal and won't work for me. So I gotta keep looking. I would like to get one before moving back to KY, but if not, I will just search there.

Why are you going sterling instead of 14B? Not criticizing, just wondering
