Last night, my shifter just went "limp". It will go into drive & neutral, but it is very hard to get into reverse, if at all and has no park. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet & was wondering if this was a common problem or am i just going to have to figure it out.
On a side note, it has been not starting with the key when cold & last night it was 58* here, so when it wouldn't start (because it wasn't in park, but i thought it was) i jumped it off with a screwdriver, & it took off in reverse. I ran to the door, got it open and it knocked me down & if i hadn't caught the bottom of the door & pulled myself up it would have run over me. I was able to grab the seat, then the steering wheel & pull myself into the cab & get stopped before it got to the highway, just barely. It dragged me a good 50 yds first tho. Lesson learned, do not jump start in gear. Lol.
