96 LT1 Camaro

Honestly, I'd rather have an LS any day... A 6.0L LQ block with factory LS3 stuff plus a cam and bolt ons can make 450-475+ rwhp for $2500ish... Pretty good deal there...

an automatic 2wd car seeps about 30% of its power to the wheels. and the accessory drive another 2 or so. so a 6litre ls3 with a cam makes 627hp at the crank for $2500? i need to go tell that to all of my friends wih ls's that spent waaaaaaay more than $2500 to get less hp than that

Back to the other point on the AFR heads. I compared SBC vs SBF heads. They call all of their heads for SBF's Outlaw, and SBC's Eliminator in their catalog.

i understand that but that fact just illustrates that either way heads, and cams just are never an accurate comparison even brand-to-brand. that is why they call them different things.....afr knows they're not the same so they don't call them the same thing

Yeah, I gotcha.

No, it was a T-56 car... It was on ls1tech somewhere (it was mostly a junkyard build)... I'd have to look it up again... I knew a guy that had a 900hp LQ with not alot of money (ok, not $2500, but it wasn't tons)... Not saying that's the rule, but if you work at it, you can do it... LQ block with junkyard L92's, medium cam, and secondhand bolt ons, and a good tune... L92's are where it's at if you have the bore for them... You can't run them on the LS1... once you step up to the 4" bore LQ it becomes alot easier to make that much power that cheaply...
