Got a 96 Explorer and the dash lights, ac lights, door lock lights dont come on at all... Someone said if the dimmer wheel makes the interior dome light come on then thats no the problem. The dome light does come on... fuses are all good. Does someone have another clue? Surely ALL my bulbs didnt go.

Chaz.

How do you get to the switch?? I keep reading about snapping on the left side of the trim and it will pop off, but its a one piece trim that goes around the instument panel.

CHaz.,

You gotta pull of the radio surround you got pull the knee pad ( plastic piece under the steering wheel). There is also a metal plate down there that has to come out. then you should be able to get to the plastic guage surround. I find it easier to pull the guage surround with the auto shifter in 1st. I had the same problem. I have had to replace more dash lights on this truck then all my other vehicles combined.

A lot of fords (I know for sure a 93 b4000 is this way) if a brake light is out, it will cause your dash lights and running lights to turn off, but come on when you push the brakes.

I don't know if that is related to your problem, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
