Bought this bad boy for $400 bucks. It's nothing special, but it runs and drives good. Since this is just my daily beater/work truck, it's never going to be super nice, but with a few mods it should fit my needs pretty well...

Here's what I have planned.

F-150 Coil Spring Spacers up front
Stock 4wd lift blocks in the back
Explorer Teardrop wheels
235/75/15's all trains
explorer 8.8" with limited slip and 3:73's or 4:10's (still deciding)

Remove pin stripe (I don't think paint fade will be a big issue with this color?)
Wash/Claybar/Wax paint
Replace Front bumper (jy) and add fog light front valance with fog lights
Line-X bottom belt line - down? Unsure how it'd look on this color?
Repaint All trim/mirrors/etc with trim paint
Tinted Windows - 5% rear, 35% front (legal)
05+ tail lights
Clear Turn Signal lenses

I'm also going to put some cheap fog lights under the body that are activated by the door being open, they'll act as puddle lights if you will. Also want to mount a pair off lights tucked under the truck that would act as brighter reverse lights. You wouldn't be able to see any of the lights mounted under the truck.

94-98 GT seats (black and grey)
Explorer full length console
Changing the upper vinyl and lower carpet on door panels to black
Black carpet
Black headliner
LED dash/heater bulbs

I love the idea of using o.e.m parts from other makes/models/years, junk yard hunting is so much fun... so with that said, this will be a slow, budget build.

I think you double posted the pic. I'd like to see the outside as well.
And I'm with you on the jy budget builds.

Oops, I'll fix it real quick.

One a side note, I think I might pick up a 93-97 ranger long bed with the back half of the frame today. My boss was planning on making a trailer, but never did. Now he's thinking about scrapping it. If he starts to, I'm going to offer scrap price and take it home! He also has a fiberglass camper that will fit a long bed, he already offered it to me for $20 bucks... If I get the bed/trailer, I'm going to get the camper to.

More pictures later.

Snapped a picture of the drivers side today...

Found this sign at the shop today, told my boss I was taking it home to hang above our bed... Luckily my wife is very giving, so the sign is misleading... but still funny!

Got some fog lights + brackets the other day, think they're off a newer caravan sport? Now I just need to make a trip up to certifit to grab a valance!

My cousin might be parting his wife's 96 explorer. He's wanting to keep the motor (5.0) for his upcoming foxbody project, but he said he would cut me a good deal on the rear end and the 15" tear drop wheels (probably help him pull the motor for them.) So hopefully he decides to part it - instead of letting it sit in the yard unused.

Oh, and the fog lights I was talking about in my last post were originally going to go onto my trailer project, but I got some other ones for that. I think they'd fit into a fog light front valance nicely.

Progress, but not really progress... lol

Here's what I did with my old 1st gen s10's interior.

Interior how I got it, clean, but not to my standards.

Then I build some fiberglass door pods, painted a few of the accents black, tossed in some 1st gen blazer seats, and a 2nd gen blazer console (was going to switch it to floor shift, but decided I was to lazy.)

Here's the rest of the audio system, small and simple, didn't want to lose any of MY leg room. Wasn't insanely loud, but sounded great.

Here's what the stereo consisted of:
Head Unit: JVC KD-S100.
Front Stage: PPI 356c's
Front/Sub Amp: Hifonics ZXI 6410
Sub: 10" American Bass DX

Here's the outside - The dumbo mirrors where later replaced.:
