This one is throwing me for a loop. My truck sat all winter, spring came around and it fired right up. Drove it back and forth to work for a week, no problem. Went to the store on Sunday morning, as I turned in, it died. No stumble, no surge, no anything. Like I turned off the key. I have barley any fuel pressure, and no spark out of the coils. I do however have 12 volts at the plugs that plug into the coils. I am no good with this electrical crap. I am losing my patience with this thing, its about to get scrapped...but the body is mint, so I dont want to do that. Brother in law said that the ignition module goes bad, it will not call for fuel, or let the coils spark. Sound right to you guys? I dont wanna go drop $150 on a module to find out thats not it.....ya know?

Does the CEL(check engine light) come on with the key on and then go off, thats the computer getting power and running a self test?

If you turn on the key do you hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds, it isn't quiet?
A hum then it clicks off

If no CEL and no Fuel pump, in the engine compartment fuse box pull out the EEC relay and check pins for corrosion, also check the EEC fuse.
You can swap EEC relay and WOT relay just to be sure.

The only other thing that can stop both spark and fuel is the CKP(crank position sensor).
It is on the lower engine/timing belt cover, passenger side, it slides inside the cover to read crank position as it spins.
These rarely fail, but not never, and when they do it is like "a switch was flipped off" and engine just dies with no spark and no fuel injectors, as computer thinks engine is no longer turning.

This wouldn't effect fuel pressure though, fuel pump would still run for 2 seconds each time key is turned on.
Try turning key on and off 3 times that should get fuel pressure back up to 30psi and then see if it starts.
Fuel pump stopping is also like a "switch off" with fuel injection, engine just dies, fuel pump relay is next to/near EEC relay, check it as well, EEC relay and Fuel pump relay should both "click" when key is turned on, FP relay will click a second time after 2 seconds

could be the baby pcm ground at the battery. did you manually try to run the pump??

Checked all fuses...all good

look at the grounds on the battery.

Door closed window down, and you can hear the pump, it isn't quiet :)
