HEy guys my name is gabriel im stilll abit new to this website i have a 94 ranger xlt on 33 in, tires i bought a tc 1988 complete car everything to do the swap and i am going to pull the engine this weekend . can someone please help me and tell me is it easier to pull the whole wiring harness on the car and put it in the ranger or whats the easiest way to get it running?

use the ranger harness on the TC engine, you will have to add the VAM and a couple other things, there are some wiring diagrams for what you need in the tech library. if you want to add the DIS to your TC engine it's not too hard, I can walk you through it. oh, and when you add your accessories to the front of the engine, you might have to add a hole near where the distributor by the fuel pump hole cover for the power steering pump. and from personal experience, use your crank pulley bolt...

what do you mean the hole or add one i thought the swap sit im not going to riuun a c already out so what do i have to do now ?

on the power steering pump there are 3 holes on top and two on the side of the block, the older blocks have two on top and two on the side, the height difference isn't too much (5 thousandths at most) so if you just drill and tap the hole you will have more support for the power steering pump, the hole added will be just above the oil pump hole, I took the cover off and stuck a rag in the hole to keep the metal out of the oil pan.

oh ok so the power steering wont hook up ok bro well i think that im just going to pull the wiring off the 88 tbird because i dont know what to wire and how to do pinouts ? im pulling the engine today

it'll bolt up, there's just one hole missing, you can probably get away without it though... I just felt safer adding it.

ok bro wll can u tell me or show me sime pics of adding wire s or what i have to do to make the harness work because like i said i dont know how to do any of that ?
