i cant remember whos they are but i like them alot. i want to make a set for my sj and i have to make a set for a buddy too

Okay I sede what you did, cut the wedges off then welded the longarm mounts to it. Got any detailed pics of them and doing this.....ya its motivating me to do this but not till I grenade my D30, if I ever get a chance to do that.

That is exactly what i wanna build thank's for the pic.

I dont have any detailed pic's as we were working as steady as possiable to ger her finished. got it together at 6 am took it for a shake down and had to adjust the caster quite a bit after the shake down (second one went GREAT. got maybe two hour's of sleep, got woken up by a wheelin buddy after gettin maybe two hour's of sleep, then we proceeded to wheel all day, started drinking and stayed up till bout 4. had to wake up early to get outta camp while the snow was still frozen to avoid another winch fest. so needless to say i got home sunday and went directly to comatose in the recliner.

and that explain's why i had to make a promise to the bride to not work in the garage all week.

Beer, trucks, and wheeling, need you say more?

Sounds like a very good weekend and glad I could help with the pic I have a few more if you can't find that thread

it worked out perfect cuz once we got into the camp yard we all ended up gettin burried tryin to park by the door. so once the beer really started flowing no one could go anywhere. one of the guy's was bout to but realized it was WAY to cold to try and pull winch line just to horse around.

one other thing to add

Braking. i am running the factory caliper's up front and factory rear drum's (70's f-150), I was reading everywhere that i need to upgrade my master to "match" what came off the vehicle. i am running the factory ranger master cylinder, and the SAME line's up front (jeep lines) in the rear i just needed to remake the line's across the axle to get a lil more length. and it'll lock up all 4 tire's on dry asphalt. make's some serious racket but it'll do it. with that contact patch and weight of the vehicle i think stop on a dime is nearly correct.

Not sure if i would be able to convert the rear to disc and run the same master. but i'll cross that bridge when i get there.

i'm runnin deaver's 6'' superflex spring's up front that are for a 78 f-150 they are suposed to be rated at around 300 ppi which is a little stiff, but they work very well with the rear chev 63's

I how nice my chevy 63 springs flex, they have a ton of down and up travel compaired to the factory ones.

i'm thinking of doing the 63 swap once i get my sas finished. i think it'd be worth it.

I dont know how I would have got proper lift in the rear without doing the chevy leaf swap and the lowering shakles.

i was gonna just order some lift spring's but this was alot less expensive and I think it performe's better.

So I just took the truck out for a quick ride since I got off early and the wife isnt home yet. and YAY broke the bolt's front driveshaft bolt's (t-case to Cardan). which in turn bent the snot outta my shift linkage. yay for me. and while I was under the truck realized that my trackbar bracket is yet again pulling away from the frame. look's like i will be cutting the bracket completely off and rebuilding it. definately gonna plate the frame bolt it and weld it!

And the driveshaft happened in 1st gear 4 low at around 1500R's climbing a grassy hill.

Man I really wanna just ditch the front spring's and go coilover's but I know that wouldnt work so well with the kid on the way and what not.

itd be cool but it seems like you have a pretty good working truck now so why change it? hell you just got those axles in there lol have some fun with it the way it sits
