94 b4000 axle swap/offroad build

I heard theres johnny joint kits for the upper bushings for D30 axles, Im going to look into it.

mainly the lower bushing's are the one's givin me issue's. i saw the one's for the upper's when I ordered the weld on mount's from rusty's.

you can put joints anywhere.. just buy 'em and weld in bungs and go for it.

So i'm on call this week and dont figure i'll get much done in the garage or around the house. so i made a pact to myself that every night i will get one thing done in the house (upstair's remodle) and one thing done in the garage.

so tonight i got my spare tire mounting plate done. all i did was cut the outter most part out of an old front rotor figure i'll go from there. havnt decided wether i am gonna do a tire gate or just mount it on a tripod in the box but i'll figure that out when I have some time to start messin round with the tire in the box. i just really dont wanna get rid of the box cuz i like that fact that shovel's and straps and what not's dont fall out while bouncing down the trail

changed out all my interior today, swapped out the cloth bucket seat's for a vinyl bench and swaped the factory door panel's that had cloth upper and lower area's for the later model (97) all plastic door panel's. also I finally decided the musty, moldy, wet carpet HAD to go. so i yanked all that out as well.

Interior cleanup should be a cinch now. only cloth/carpet left in the truck is the headliner and the carpet behind the seat

i hate having carpet for an offroad vehicle sue to it holds onto moisture and will rot out your floors. I just sprayed in bed liner on my floor and called it good.

I never really liked the carpet but i'm not a huge fan of rhino lining. but it sure beat's rusted out floor's. fortunately thre is no rust on my floor's and that's after wheelin it for the past 3 year's

the frame is all patched in. It turned out pretty nice. I'll snap some pic's once the trac bar and steering is all back in place. lookin at some different option's for steering and trac bar. think I have it pretty well figure'd out but we'll see.

All I have to say right now is

RUFF STUFF SPECIALTIES ROCK'S
hand's down the best customer service of ANY company I have ever dealt with

Really long story. but in a nutshel

after confirming order on the web I recieved a phone call to make sure i was getting everything i needed, issue being I ordered 4 heim's and 2 high misalignment's since I dont need all 4, I also ordered alot of other part's as well. and even tho paypal was not cooperating due to the length of time since ive used it last, the order was shipped out today!!!! so part's to put her back together should be here next week

Dan is great at Ruffstuff, my place of choice. Did you use your 10% off code?

I did in the initial order, it may have gotten lost in translation but i dont even care since the service was so good.

alright here are some pic's of the work completed in the past week.

frame patch done for the most part. still need to add some finishing touch's and obviously burn in the trac bar mount once it arrives. the plate is 1/4'' burned around the perimiter has 5 roset's and bolted in 3 spot's (steering box) I dont think this is goin anywhere

and here is the new interior. swaped between mine and my brother in law's 97 lovin the bench cuz it'll be MUCH easier to clean and it dosnt have the recline lever to give me a MAJOR charlie horse everytime i slide out or jump into the truck. not pictured are to new door panel's his were all plastic so i wont have to scrub the carpet spot's to get the mud off now. swaping for these door panel's I lost my door pocket which i'm not too concerned about since they collected more garbage than anything but still kinda suck's. I am officially searching high and low for an extended cab to put on this frame. after all the time into this setup i wouldnt look forward to swapin it all over to a different setup. I'm kinda geeked to run the bench with the extended cab for some reasone.
