94 b4000 axle swap/offroad build

Thank you i am glad you like it, there are alot of hour's into this truck and am pretty satisfied with the result's as a whole. The first noticable drawback to goin fullwidth is tryin to figue out tire placement. the narrow guy's hate me now cuz they cant stay in my track's thru the snow. i feel bad for the brother in law (runnin waggy's) cuz he's gonna be his own width alltogether.
I will snag more pic's in this coming week. I havnt gotten much sleep this weekend and the weather is misserable (sleet). as far as the swap i didnt really geel like goin with the wedge's either. so from the git-go i was looking for 76-77 f-150 dana 44 cuz it was the only axle i could find that the axle brackt's would work on aside from one ton's. the only issue is now that this is done (close to done) my wish list just grew emensely. as i definately need to regear and am seriously thinking of airshock's/coilover's i think Kyle M's truck is a HUGE inspiration. I need to build mine a little different as i am pretty sure out truck's are used for two completely different terrain's.

one more tidbit of info. while wheelin this weekend i may have come across a 94' f-150 that "run's and is drivable" for free. aparently it started having issue's with the t-case so they parked it. they said to come and get it when when possiable. so hopefully the dont flake out and i may have a donor powerplant to swap in next winter. dont really want to swap in a v-8 but if everything is there i might have to find an excuse to do it.

its like WELL SINCE ITS FREE..........WHY NOT!!!!? lol

pretty much, however it has been sitting for a couple year's so guess i need to see if it's worth even considering.

I would so love to do FW axles but I dont know if they are legal for DD though. Are those your original longarms I see, if so I have finally got myself confused on what vehicle that front axle came out of. You have any problems with it on the road, if it has been? Mine has been acting up and doing the nice death wobble for me, replacing the steering stuff and whatnot to get it to stop.

Looks good but then if I did something like this, I would end up destroying my truck from doing to much to it, but hell I havent even taken mine out to go wheel YET, so I dont know my limits.

Now to add up what it has costed to do all of this.

Yep same rusty's arm's. it's all listed above.

rusty's arm's
ballistick link/coil bracket.
Rusty's upper link bracket's
hodge podge steering to make it go this weekeng (definately need's to be addressed)

It goe's down the road pretty well for bias 37's
it has some bump steer but no death wobble. actually neither of these have had death wobble. i made a promise to the bride that I wouldnt work in the garage this week and would get the upstair's done remodeling so pic's are gonna have to wait a lil while as it is still sleeting out. hopefully i can bust butt and get all the door's hung and trim it all out in a couple day's and be done with it. but i DO NOT have to motivation to work on the house when i can stare at the truck out the window.

i know the feeling-- we are in the process of finishing our kitchen and starting/finishing out bathroom.. when i know i need to be loving on the b2..

The kitchen and bath were the first thing's i remodeled after we purchesed the house. bought it as a forclosure and all the pipe's had frozen and broke and the furnace was junk. so bein a plumbing and heating service tech it was the perfect deal for me. within an hour of purchase all the pipe's were tore out furnace was out and was demoing the bathroom. the wife was bout in tear's when she came back. never told her I was goin as far as blowing wall's out the expand the bathroom. but she loves it now.

Your long arms attached to a Ford FW D44 front axle?

YEP. has to be a 76-77 cuz those are the only two year's you can cut the cast wedge's off the axle. that come equiped with disc brake's and all that other good stuff.

Alrighty here are more pic's couldnt resist the urge to go play around so i snapped some of the front axle as well. disregard any pic's of the steering as it is all soon to change.

First here's some pic's crawling around on top's of the snowpile's
closest thing i've ever come to rockcrawlin . I was having a BLAST if you cant tell.

these mirror's normally pop off then back on pretty easy. this time mount snapped off so no snapin it back on. i have a spare set of door's with flag style mirror's that i'll prolly slap on. they look like they fold in alot tighter to the body so hopefully they'll last longer. this time of year is a bad time for me and mirror's as it's a challange to put the truck right where you want it. i once saw a sweet set of mirror's somone fabricated on here out of a cheap universal round mirror and some round stock. i've been thinking of doin this but not real sure as of right now.
