94 b4000 axle swap/offroad build

O.K.

I think were beatin a dead horse

:icon_twisted: **DISCLAIMER** :icon_twisted:

If anyone copys any thing i do in this build thread and it breaks. i will not be held responsable.

"this is not my daily driver, nor my dedicated trail truck. i am further into dirt bike's now that i realized they handle alot more then a truck. the only thing i use the truck for is runnin to the corner store for smokes and or a cold beverage. and to get into the woods when weather turns nasty"

I dont think anyfurther posts need to be made about the poorley constructed crossmember/link brackets when the something is final i'll let you know. I dont even have the correct bolts holdin the arms on yet (notice no Nuts on anything)

I will be pickin up all the hardware tommorow all grade 8 with norlock lock washers.

I am thinkin i will need to drill out the factory jeep upper control arm bushings to accept a 1/2'' bolt rather than the factory 11mm IIRC.

the arms should be finnally mounted to the axle for good tommorow

i got one just like that there fun little toy aint they, but wait till your plastic lockers brake and then you can buy metal one's then you can go anywhere with it....

Where can I find one of those? My little bro has a Jeep one and the shock broke....well to his advantage, it flexes even more now and climbs the walls.

She got it a the local RC shop. it's a LOSI 1/18th "mini" crawler They sell for aroun 230$ pretty fun capable little Toy. i set up my basement with a ton of obstacles looks like a little off road park. Now a couple of my buddies are gonna get them as well...CANT let it side track me to much from the REAL truck though.

Just a note on the Rusty's arms. grind and go over all of their welds. they tend to twist apart. I have seen a few fail, Rusty is notorious for very poor welds.

I have the resources to get the welds x- ray'd
That should expose any weak spots correct ?

maybe Im a big believer in overkill when it comes to suspension work. I don't trust anything from Rusty's from past experience:icon_welder:
