94 b4000 axle swap/offroad build

Thats a good price not only for brakets, but for safty.

What I'm also trying to do is get details too. The more details a build thread has on what you used and what you did the better it is.

There are some vedors here that sell the stuff to, might check thatm out and price stuff out. Thers no price for safty, if you know what I mean.

im surprised no one has commented on the dodge in the background of pic 1 with 8'' of lift and stock tires

From the looks of it the dodge is getting its ass kicked by your truck.

well after hearing some bad things about ballistic fab's shipping department i decided i would give them a call to see the status of them THEY HAVENT EVEN SHIPPED YET
so it'll be 1 day short of 1 week since i ordered them and the guy tells me they are gonna ship them tommorow WTF

I agree with this no price can be put on safety and the more details the better I am going to do them same swap on my truck i've got the axle but just trying to find the rest of the parts I need for mine:icon_welder:

Im a fan of the D30, I think they are great axles for their size....

However, If I were you, Id start looking around for a HP D30 to replace that low pinion one. You are almost certain to rip some teeth off that ring and pinion...

EDIT: very well could be just the angle of the picture making it look like a low pinion...

must be the angle cuz it's a high pinion, unless my buddy with a Tj stole my axle when i wasnt lookin (he wants the high pinion and the long arms REAL BAD )

as far as shocks and springs, it's not set in stone yet but im planning on runnin some coils from bronco graveyard. I need to call them to see if there facts are right. but a coil for a 78-79 f150 is rated at 300 ppi and has a free height of 25''. so well in turn be around 20'' at ride height if my math is right. where as the coils for a EB are rated at 415 ppi and will most likely be too stiff

once i find out how much travel i will have i will be onto the shock game
planin on runnin some nitrogen shocks, not exactly sure which brand but i like the idea of being able to adjust them to what i like/use it for

well i now have 10$ less to spend on my truck but i have a nifty gold thing under my user name, not sure if i should see stars and stripes all the time now or whatever happens. but i feel a little better about posting here now,

I just ordered my springs from the graveyard!!! after speaking with one of the staff i found that all there "superflex" coil's are rated at 300ppi (hope there not too stiff)
the only difference is height. and the f150's (that i ordered) are 25'' free height, where as the EB's are 23.5'' free

oh yeah, That was another 210$ w/shipping

I have the same brackets from Ballistic and the shipping was great. I live in northeast Indiana and they were to my door in 2 days with UPS ground.

These brackets are great. I welded them to a piece or 4" angle so I wouldn't have to weld the brackets directly to the frame. Then drilled holes in the angle iron.

My spring should be on my front porch when i get home from work WOOHOO

Just for future reference, where do you go to get the SAS group thing so that when I get mine done I can ask for mine, which wont be till next spring.

under user cp then under networking you see group membership. its in there
