Ok well im looking to lower my 93 ext.cab 2wd ranger.... i got it for free and it runs good beside one cancer sport other then that she good! It is my daily driver.... because the EVO is sitting in the driveway for weekends only . Also i was looking to lower it but now much as i would be towing my 05 GSXR 600 in the bed of it so my question is how much should i lower it and what should i use to lower it. If you could send me a link to the parts i need that would be great! Thanks in advance! I'm new to all this truck lowering sh!t, im used to cars.

Welcome to TRS . . .

The Tech Library (Link at top of page) has everything you need to know about the 3rd Generation Rangers. Not that difficult or expensive - coils in the front would be your most expensive part. Please please please do not cut or heat your coils to lower the front - do it right and be happy later.

SO coils front and shackle flip rear should do you right - the tech library has a list of all the parts and brands needed . . .

Good Luck and again Welcome

How low you want to go is up to you really...............and how much you want to spend. I've hauled fridges in my 96 w/o issue. As long as you do it right, you should be fine. Might need a bolt on notch for a little extra suspension travel depending on how you lower it. You can always add the air assist bags for when you are hauling too.

parts for the front:
2" coils and/or
3" beams

parts for the rear:
flip rear hangers/shackles 2"
flip kit4"+
drop leaves 3+
or any combination of the above.

thanks for the warm welcome! Ill have to post up in the Newbie section when i get pictures of the truck! Also would you think a 4-5 drop would be ok even though i will be towing a bike ? Also how much would that kit run. thanks again

its a 93 so there is no 4/5 out there unless you do a flip kit, beams and splash springs. you could go 3/4 and be pretty good. might go with a bolt in notch too. im dropped 4/5 on my 03 and for loads I need a bolt in notch, you lose a good bit of travel. bolt in notch is about $150 extra and it would tow justlike it does now just lower.

These are just a sampling of what is out there. I like Summit's website, it's easy to search.............it doesn't hurt their customer service is great too. But any of the companies out there will work. I have all Chassis Tech under my truck, they were the best price I could get when I bought my stuff. DJM makes good stuff too. Belltech is quality but at a higher cost.

if you want a 4/5 drop on a 93 you can put front springs and rear leafs off of a splash which gives you 1 inch all the way around and then do a flip kit in the rear : 4 inches and 3 inches beams in the front and you will have a 4/5 drop
