Re: 1991 Ranger Xcab 4.0l The negative battery cable looks like this:
or
The cable has 4 wires.
1) the main cable
2) a thin wire with a small hole for a bolt
3&4) thin wire that got to a canister top-the canister looks some what like an over sized inline fuse.
The butchered system that I inherited is not the same. so,
1) What are the two attaching points on the main wire? Frame and engine?
2) What is the small canister? what does it do?
3) Where does the fourth wire connect?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
