91 ranger frame swap

hello all i have a 91 ranger stx with a bad auto tranny i found a 95 explorer with the 5.0 auto and was wondering if the frames are the same because my frame is rotting out bad. i was thinking of just takeing my body and transplanting it onto the explorer frame and engine and drivetrain. any tried this any help would be greatly appreciated.

can be done....but you will need to do something with the bed...the bed part of the frame is diffrent...also you have to remeber that the newer sploders and rangers have diffrent suspention....but you would have a bad ass truck after you were done

seen it done, but a 98 ranger would be a better candidate so you cankeep the bed and still have a nicer front suspinsion for the street
