91 ranger 4.0l with 92 explorer ecm


Definitely leaking somewhere then. It should hold pressure for a very long time. At least overnight.
Do you know if the fuel pump has like a check valve or does it use the pump to store pressure? I guess better yet what holds the pressure?
 
yup...lil check ball dealio.


so there could be a restriction causing a volume issue under load.

The fuel pump pressurizes the fuel rail, the pressure is maintained by the fuel pressure regulator.
