they should, but i would be concerned about where to mount the brackets. The stock arms are to short to mount them to the frame correctly. Plus, the upper and lower arms aren't adjustable making more work to get it all lined up correctly.
You will get a better ride and street handling with a longer arm IMO.
are they as long as stock ttb arms? i could extend them if i find they arent long enough, i want them to be at least the length of the stock ttb arms, probably a few inches shorter, nothing to extreme though
why are you wanting to swap axles?
I swaped mine for better offroad driving. Researching found that the longer the arm, the better the ride and handling.
But, if you want short arms, i would look into some adjustable short arms. The stock arms are stamped sheet metal.
i want longer arms too, im not saying i want shorter ones. i dont know how long they already are, so i just thought if they were any longer than the radius arms on the ttb it would be ok as they are. that and i just want a straight axle and i hate the ttb
Well when I was going to use tube aftermarket jeep arms (which I still have laying in the garage) that came with my D30, they were going to mount in the same area as the ttb radius arms were. The top control arms were going to mount inside the fram rails. But I looked at it all and decided to spend the extra money on long arms for safety and also I can adjust the axle as needed.
yep and with putting the upper arms inside the frame rail there is brake/fuel lines that will need to be moved, also i went with the long arms because I didnt want to weld anything to the frame. This is sort of my learning build and if for some reason I get a better/newer truck, everything can be swaped to the other truck easily.
as far a length go's im running "Rusty's" long arm's and they mount to the frame where your factory trans x-member mount's. The flex is more than i belive is possiable outta a D35 for the same money
Motor is almost gone, oil pressure at idle is 20psi or so and the gauge bounces. At speed it only 40psi Got to baby it till I get some money for another motor. I'd park it but it's my DD... Makes me wish I didn't sell our 3rd car
started it today after work, lifter ticking for about 5 min and blue smoke the whole time. Oil press was, at cold, 50psi and bouncing all over the place. Should be over 60psi with the 20W50 I have in there.
I known for a while that the head is shot but I don't know what the hell is wrong with the motor. Just runs like shit the last few weeks.
