89 ranger SAS build

Yeah, like a nasty sunburn. You get used to them after awhile.

I thought of welding a sleeve to the draglink, but I am confident in the weld. It was just for temporary to get it driveable but seems to hold up well. I check it regularly to see if there is any stress cracks or anything. None yet. I made a deep V with the two pieces that was 1/2" wide x 1/4"deep and just kept filling it then ground it flush. I let the piece cool completely between passes.

I would like to find a bigger pitman tierod than I am using. Just a pain looking for it at parts stores.

The one piece shaft is #1 priority on my list to get. Just need the time.

I have to get mine done ASAP due to when I started the van for work, coolant started leaking from the back of the engine and my trucks front end is out of it. So I'm driving my dads ranger now.

I changed the shocks around again. Put the procomp nitro's back in the front and the rancho hydro's in the back. It rides so much smoother but now I won't have enough travel in the front. But that will be fine for now until I get different shocks for the front.

I'll go with any shock that will work and the cheapest brand name that will fit. I like how well my procomps are, driving my dads truck reminds me of the stiff factory suspenision. I think the procomps will be a good chioce for the front of my truck since most the weight is there and I'm going to be running a softer coil. I need to get bar pin eliminators.

you could get those shock tabs i used for bar pin eliminators. I think they were only $15 for the set.

I thonk I'll end up doing that, save me some time on fabbing and more of getting the important stuff done.

How long is your track bar from eye to eye? I need to find one that is 26-27 inches. The one I have is 29 inches and sticks outside the frame. The link that brings me to where you bought yours doesnt say how long it is.

Mine measures 34" from eye to eye. I have it adjusted about in the middle too. 26", that seems weird.
You might need to make one yourself.

Another look at my axle, I see where the mount was cut off and maybe a custom one was put up high. So I'm going to have to make the lower mount again and cut some of the top mount so I can mount my track bar without it hitting. My sway bar mounts have been cut off too.

As far as the sway bar mounts, I have seen somewhere someone sells extended sway bar tabs. That is something you could look into

Here is my trackbar mount.

Getting up early to start on the axle mounting bracket for the sway bar. Thx fkr the picture, I'll basiclly replicate it the best I can.

Front bearing hub? Oh, dana 30...NM

Good luck!

Ya that's the downside to them. Can't you convert it over to another bearing type?
