TRS Event 2026 Fall Colors Campout

I'm going to try to go ahead and contact them about a tent spot for the camper on Monday or Tuesday, if I have to back out I'll know in a week or two only $30 or so. @sgtsandman mentioned letting them know that I'm with the group. might help with swaying the decision.

Do they have a group name for us? Do they know y'all are with The Ranger Station?

Canopy is up, tarp is off, and the portable AC is plugged into the house on an extension cord. Should be G2G on getting out and wrapping up the electrical and starting the sealing in the next day or two. Might have a place close by that I can take it to for a night this weekend. Looks like there's a small private campground right down the road from a local drag race track, and I was planning to go out there Saturday to watch the drift event for a little while. Won't get the miles I want on it, but will at least verify the electrical is working right.

I did mention we're doing a group thing. But they didn't seem to have a group rate. So, they don't really know us as The Ranger Station. Their rates seem so reasonable already compared to a lot of campgrounds these days. You can always mention our group or some of our names and see if it helps.

I sent an email, we'll see if ther respond tomorrow. If not, I'll give them a call after work or Tuesday.

Wasn't expecting a rate discount, though I suppose I could get one through through Good Sam membership. Not something I would have joined, but basically came free with the new power center I bought though Camping World. I should probably look into that tomorrow too. Was more interested in the group name dropping to see if it would help in working with the tent campsite.

Still no reply from the campground, and didn't call either...

I do have a site booked though. Hopped on again to look at what tent sites were available and to see if Good Sam discount (included with a recent part purchase) would actually be worth anything. On a whim I ran for RV sites again too, and there was one available. Not in the part of the campground I wanted, due to location, not company. It's a site though and still the potential to be shuffled around according to their site info.

Currently booked for RV site 8 for the 8th-11th. Right up front inbetween the tent campers and the cabins, right across from the office and station ( ). You'll have to put up with my grumpy ass third wheeling and begging for table scraps.

Granted that could still change depending on what happens with the camper in the next week or two.
