well I think the small brake lines came from a mid 90's cavalier rear, the pitman arm I dont remember what size it is, I've had it for years. It looks like a 4" drop??


I used this brake line idea from Krousinoffroad. It was alot cheaper than extended hoses and I don't have to worry about the hoses getting stretched or caught on the coil springs...

Thanks, I'll look into that. Its a much better setup and cleaner looking too. I hate to spend a ton for a new pitman arm but I want to do this right the first time.

is it a rear shaft yoru using in the front, or did you use a front shaft?

Guess I should of clarified that, it was out of the front. I had to shorten it by 3 inches.

Forgot to mention that I demolished the rear fender during the flex test the other day. You can see it in the picture above

My chevy pack has 4 leaves in it and then the over load. Did you take one of the leaves out before putting them in (not the over load one)?

I wanna say that the break was caused by axle wrap. Get her fixed and back on the road.

If you can before you fix her, how long are your shocks fully streached out?

The leafs came that way, the truck was a shortbed 4wd if that makes a diff.
I will measure them tomorrow and let you know.

I got mine of a truck that had the 8ft bed but I don't remember if it was 2wd or 4wd but I'll be going to the j/y soon so I can check if they hvent crushed the truck by now.

Next thing I have to get is all my brake stuff and some steel for fabbing up my track bar mount and long arm mounts.

how's your truck ride in the front. i think im gonna end up runnin jeep coils' but im not sure if i am havin an issue with spring rate or shock valving. My suspension cycles nicely. but over small rocks and tree's and what not its harsh as all getout

The front rides nice it is a hole lot softer than the TTB and off road bumps it soaks them up good but not to stiff...On road it handles great for sitting as high as it does. If I had anything to change I would go maybe 50ppi less in the coils. But I only have a 2.3L. What shocks are you using in the front?

They are 30" but they are way to short, they max out during flexing. The Rancho's on the front have, if I remember, 33" max with about 4" up travel and 10" down.

I still have the old ranger leafs. I am going to take them apart and use the bottom two off the rangers and see how it will work.
