89 Ranger AC tensioner

Ok guys got an 89 Ranger 2.3 with AC. The AC tensioner is starting to make noise and for the life of e I can't find a replacement. Does anybody know what to use and where to find it? The only number on the tensioner is this E87A-8675-AB. Pulley looks to be riveted on not sure though

I had the same issue on my '89 2.3, although my truck didn't have AC so your tensioner may be different, I'm not sure.

I drilled out the rivet and replaced the idler pulley

Had to get creative with the idler pulley after the pressed in piece broke while I was trying to replace the pulley and bearing, and finding one of these brackets 'aint easy.

Good 'ol Ace Hardware came to the rescue. The inside diameter of the bearing is 17mm, and Ace had the perfect sized bronze bushing, I had to use a c-clamp to get it in, but it worked great.

That's exactly what mine looks like. Looks like a trip to Ace is the place!

Same thing on an 85 with EFI. I got the 'wheel' thing from Rock Auto, listed to fit the 85, but had no shoulder bolt to install, so sent it back.
I found the complete assembly on Amazon, made by AC Delco. Was NOT listed for an 85, but the part number seemed to match. It did. It works fine.
I found with a search for the part number stamped on the idler/tensioner assembly. I thought it was listed for an 89, but NOT an 85, so I made a comment on Amazon that it will also fit 85 year.
