88 TC engine w/ 1991 DP head = what compression ratio?

So I've realized that I can buy a complete (engine, turbo, computer, wiring, etc) '88 turbocoupe engine for what the roller cam for my NA project costs.

I just finished P&P'ing a 1991 dual plug ranger head. It will also have big valves installed.

I'm thinking of buying the TC setup and doing the swap into my ranger using the ported 91 DP head and obviously swapping over to DIS using the parts from my current engine. Of course I'll disasemble, clean, re-ring, and replace any other needed parts on the TC block. Anyone got a write up how to do a DIS swap on a turbo motor?

Question is, what will be the resulting compression ratio if I put the ranger head on the TC block? Will I still be able to run full boost without detonation? Will this mess up the LA3? I do plan on upgrading the intercooler while I'm at it.

Oh and anyone want to make a guess at how much HP this combo will make? I took alot of metal out of that head.

The price of roller cams is just plain stupid. The blank is only slightly more expensive to make, the cost of grinding is the same.

It's not difficult. I don't think I have ever seen a complete write up, only wiring diagrams. I'll try to find those for you later this week end. It basically consisits of mounting the crank trigger, finding a spot to mount the DIS module, preferably on a big heat sink, and wiring it up.

The earlier dual plug heads had larger chambers than the later ones, you'll probably end up in the mid to high 8's.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Will this mess up the LA3?
No, it doesn't care.

I do plan on upgrading the intercooler while I'm at it.
Upgrading the stock one or installing a front mount?

Putting a larger intercooler in front of my radiator, behind the grille. How do the ebay specials work?
