88 ranger 2.3 to a newer 2.3 turbo or better engine?

I have a 2.3 4 plug "A" engine in an 88 ranger. All I can find around here are 2.3 newer models and some have turbos. What all do I have to change to be able to use one of these in my truck. it has a 5 speed trans in it now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to put in lower compression turbo pistons, a matching ECU and VAM, turbo and exhaust manifold for starters. You will then need to repin your harness to match the turbo computer (use the search button). There are some modifications you will have to do as well, like adding an oil drainback line for your turbo. Other necessary things are proper plugs, a higher volume fuel pump (190-255lph), bigger injectors (30-60 pph) and afew other modifications like moving the O2 sensor so it is better positioned on the turbo outlet housing. You may also want to add a bigger rad and an electric cooling fan. I think that about covers it.

drop in a stock turbo 2.3 and wire it up and run the exhaust, like said, relocate the O2 sensor so you minimize the butchering of the heater box (other option is to get a turbo header that relocates the turbo). if running stock boost the stock fuel pump in the tank is fine, the rangers have the same pump as the thunderbirds.

if you get a 2.3 that was turbo'd stock, the block is fine, just drop it in with what was bolted in it from the factory.
