so if anyone is wondering why none of my projects including this one and all the others never get going its because i spend too much time being poor and also fixing rather than improving. for example. since i've got it i've changed the:
transmission
clutch
master and slave cylinders
battery
tfi
air idle controller
cap and rotor
plugs
fuel filter
and map sensor. and air filter and regular oil changes with castrol synthetic and k&n oil filters
and seafoamed it and ran lots of injector cleaner and i just got a newthrottle positioning sensor to install and a new block heater and i think an ignition is gonna be comin soon
maybe fuel pump related issues... no camera right now so pics will come soon i hope um, shes gonna be in the shop this weekend as currently its not starting. its minus 30 celcius tonight so it most likely wont be starting unless i boost it so i will try and get it figured soon i hope its not major. dont really wanna change wiring harness but if i have to i have to

plus i have like no money cause taxes on flights to hawaii were 760 bux so more than half my check gone what with that and bills and friggin tryin to figure out whats up with this truck and huntin aint cheap

Well I'm about to sound super uber stupid....which truck? Ya its been that long since I have been to this thread.

Ya you may have something given to you but you alway have to pay taxes, damn governments, always wanting money.

As for mine progress slowed because I need to buy more welding gas then I can make my other brackets plus I just got a new 3d modeling program and I'm making everything with it and testing stuff out that I'm going to be making with it, used the program in high school. I might post pictures of my nice computer model ones and my real life ugly ones.

mine are 10's and i wanna toss em. they cant handle my m500 apline and they dont really sound good. i had some amazing pioneers before. those were great. i want em again.
anywho, so truck wont start again today, had to drive my dads chevy, ugh.
could be alternater or battery so gonna check that out and its goin into the shop monday. let someone else bash their heads against a wall...

ya its being a POS
we hooked up a battery tester and it says 13 volts while running and the truck will be running then when we shut it off and try to restart it it dies so i got a new battery. also, we're putting in the TPS and block heater and im gonna grab a new air filter too. also, im gonna save to buy a higher amperage alternator to help power the stereo, which currently it cant handle. could be my head unit goin... anywho maybe buyin a new truck when i get back, if i get my blue truck goin good again maybe i'll keep driving it for a while more!
plus its gonna need a diff soon so dunno how long thats gonna go for. i"ve been threatening it with claims of buyin a new chev

Well one thing people would like to know including me is the part number of the block heater and brand name, etc....... I know it doesnt get that cold where I live but it would be nice to know.

Is it turning over at all? Or just clicking? If so check all your grounds. The one from the neg. post on your batt is usually the culprit. It grounds to the frame first and then to the block. Either place could be dirty or loose. You have one from the drivers side head to the windshield wiper motor bracket that could cause trouble too. If it is turning over slow, and running the batt down, you need your block heater. If it is turning over fast and just won't start, Check your fuel pressure at the shrader valve. Should have about 40 psi while cranking. Hope I hit on something for you..Good luck.

i've been through a lot with this truck. grounds from battery to block and body are fine, truck starts and runs and i'm currently DDing it. today i put the new block heater in, a throttle positioning sensor, a battery, an alternater, an air filter, and voltage still reads 13 or a little better when charging. wtf. and since the alt. was 170 bux and the battery was 100 im poor and cant afford to have it diagnosed. i dont have a fuel pressure tester and so i cant check the shrader valve pressure, but i just changed the fuel filter last week and the old one wasn't very bad so i dunno...
as far as this Block heater question. i got mine from bumper to bumper/trac auto, for 30 bux. came with the cord. its made by "zero start" theres a few numbers on it.part number is either:
3100042
or 30-3233-6
or maybe barcode
0 64222006608
