88 gone wild

I'd sell it and start over, your asking for a lot out of your truck, and at the end of the day it's still a 2wd and problematic at that.

Frank

I'd sell a few of them to fund the build of one of your trucks. Not much building going on.

i dunno. i'd love to sell them but i see potential in them. plus my 4x4 aint worth a dime.
im sellin the exploder soon as its all back together, just need to find time to build it, but my 2wd has gotten me through a lot, and for 300 bucks, its been a great truck. im finally getting it back to good condition and i just cant see parting with it right now as profitable, as i'd have to replace it and cant see getting a dependable 4x4 for 1500. plus, it gets decent milage and its been in the family since it was new. i should really pass it on to my bro, but dunno. i like it too much. i think all the ones i bought now will be junked soon, like the 4x4, scrapped for parts. ill keep the fenders, get mine back in tip top. would it be so rediclous to wanna convert my 2wd to 4x4? SAS is what i want, but its not adding up. i could buy a new ranger, but im not sas'ing a 20000 dollar truck, and stock is boring, might as well have a half ton. in which case, might as well just get a used 3/4 ton, for power and milage. but the fords interiors blow, too basic, at least what i can afford, so it would most likely be a chev, cause dodges are too expensive. SO it would be goin against what i believe(ford)

Its not rediclous to want to convert your 2wd to 4wd but you have BB already that is a 4wd. I say keep your blue truck and BB and sell the rest to fund the projects IMO. I understand keeping a vehicle in the family. I would SAS BB.

As for buying trucks the only way I would buy a Dodge is if it had a diesel engine in it and if Ford wasn't around. I like Chevy's but I dont like the Duramax engine. Ford would be my first chose if buying a new vehicle.

ford has some leverage in my books, but i would buy a chev if it completely dominated the ford. i got to drive a lifted 06 durm and liked the power, it was awesome, but the ride was less than what people claimed, and the gas milage, well lets just say it was embarasing
back to my projects, how many vehicles do you think i have? im getting a truck that needs a tranny, so value, 0$ and i have the exploder, and once its done its bein sold, but i only get half profit, cause it was a father son thing.

You said 4 trucks and an exploder. Half profit is better then none. Might be enough to fix and sell another to make even more profit. It takes money to make money, as stupid as that sounds.

that dont sound stupid at all, thats prolly the most true info i've heard, and ive heard it before. heres the count. 1,1988 2wd DD, 2 1988 4x4 BB, 3 1989 4x4 i dont have yet, 4 1989 (scrapped, i dont own it anymore. its currently at a wreckers, the same one who got me this free ranger.
and the exploder. i actually only have one truck i can drive. the explorer is not plated.

I'll have pics. of my interior and lame ass sound systyem but I did get the speakers for free. My problem is I dont have room for a sub and if I do it would be a little one. If I could fit a 12 in mine then I would ask my dad to give the JVC sub to me thats just sitting in his closet, still in the box, brand new. We have one of them in the family van.

impressive. mine has a cargo cover thing and i got a 16"x17 1/2"x35 1/2" box. i have no idea how much cubic feet that is but its good. i think i should ported at least one side tho, cause the low stuff sucks
im starting to dislike these kickers tho, as i had a 12" a while back run off a 40 watt amp that was almost as loud. the 40 amp is for tweeters but its all i had and i wanted to shake some shit up haha
vid in about 5 minutes

thats the stuff cover i have. i dunno if all rangers came with this or what(ext. cab obviously)
and you can also enjoy my pain with the starting. in fact this time the truck started quicker than usual

I have the same seats and dash as you. Youll see the pics soon.

As for it taking awhile to start, seems like the fuel is draining out of the fuel lines when you shut it off. Turn the key on and leave it in the on position of 3-5 seconds then try to start it.

I would love to have a KICKER. Hell a small one would do me fine.

Then just give them to me. Of course figuring out how to pay back shipping might be a PITA due to different currency.

Off subject and build thread anything new with BB?
