I'm def getting bigger tires when I can find a decent set. Its looking ackward with so much lift and so little tire

That's what I have pictured in my head. Plus my flares are already scratched from being moved around in the garage and they haven't even seen the trails yet.

And I need to see how much travel I have before I settle on ride height. I have a 2" block on the rear and I could raise my front coil buckets if it feels too tall. I'll find out this weekend though hopefully. I have all the parts laying there just need the time to put them on.

So I made progress this past weekend.

My buddy came over and we installed the rear driveshaft. I found out my front is about a half inch too long. We had the shocks fully mounted.

I realized my shocks were too long. Luckily James Duff is willing to let me exchange them. We drilled the knuckles and pittman arm to a 3/4 inch hole with a ream.

Then we cut the steering members. Unfortunately I don't have a power source for my welder where my bronco is right now so I had to bring it back to school to tack it. I am also going to shorten my front driveshaft myself.

I am also lacking one 3/8"-24 banjo bolt to complete my brake system. I seem to have lost one to the front caliper. And Oreilly and Advance auto said they don't carry any banjo bolts for Fords.....

I had a set of Ford flat top knuckles at one time, but I traded them for a complete set of half ton parts to avoid the eight lug bolt pattern. Plus High Steer is alot more money. I plan on more trails and less rocks.

I've got a small update. I am shooting to drive in two weeks. Here's the little I've got done over the last week.

I found a banjo bolt for my caliper. $4 shipped from Rockauto.com (I have still yet to bleed them)
I have shipped my James Duff shocks back for some shorter ones.
It appears my front driveshaft is about 0.5" too long.

I wanted to make a mount that could hold my 48" High Lift Jack, and also a full size shovel. (I think I trimmed 4 or 5 inches off each before it was done) I also wanted my back seats to be upright with two tool boxes in the back as well. This is what I came up with. It's made of some scrap uni strut I brought home from work.

I also tacked my steering together and turned the wheels to check for the heims binding. Everything passed! Time to finish it up!!
I machined a slug to join two piecies of tubing. It is solid 1018 steel and it extends two inches up either side of tube. I don't see it being a weak point.

Here is the steering up close from either side. You can clearly see my track bar mount reinforcement here.

I can't wait to drive it!

Added a little bling with my Cragar Center Caps. The paint in the middle matches my rig!

Lol no it isn't. It's still in Tulsa. I welded my exhaust and steering yesterday at the shop. I'll post pics later today. I should get a chance to work on it in two weeks. Hopefully it'll actually see some driving time.

Here is my exhaust and my steering fully welded. The exhaust bolts to the flange just past the second cat on the stock exhaust. It'll save me a little money until I can buy a muffler and buy the pipe to finish it.

First I brought out the wire wheel. It was my first time welding exhaust pipe and it wasn't as bad as I thought.

I finished it up with some high temp paint.

Here is the steering fully welded. Solid as a rock.

Thanks! I'm just hoping the space I have left with the rear seats folded down will fit all my camping gear and an ice chest.

I have come to realize B2's are smaller than they look inside.

i think mine is getting a part wood, part metal pull out drawer of some sort. that way i can still stack stuff on top

i restored a large bbq pit summer of 2010 and used that paint you used for your exhaust, it holds up well for the bbq pit, will it hold up to your exhaust? auto zone sells a tan bed liner i think
