My 1987 Ford Ranger DD currently has blue interior with a "wood" dash. I'm planning on puttin in diamond plate for the dash. I would also like the paint the truck but I have a problem. The interior is blue which would clash with most colors except black, silver, white, and blue(of course). So I was wondering along the lines of how much would I be looking at for replacing my interior(ext. cab)??

shop the local jy's for door panels, seats, dash, headliner, trim, etc. most of the rest, you can just paint. plastic paint for the plastic pieces, and regular paint for all the metal. carpeting is whatever is available at the local remnant carpet store. as your truck is older, you might have some problems finding what you need at the jy's and you could always post here in the parts wanted forum. might even find a complete donor truck for less money overall. just a thought.

Thanks a bunch. Your right. I'll check out local Jy's. and carpet would be easy. I'm wanting to paint it like a goldish color with a black thick stripe going around the bottom of the body. like this

so I need to get like black interior or something.

I don't think they came in black interior. Tan would probably be your best stock color. Red would be a close second.

LMC truck sells some good stuff for that though. They have black MIP mats and a black headliner replacement with built in speakers though.

hmm.. my mud truck has red seats and interior I might put the blue interior in my mud truck them trade the red stuff for tan from somebody.. I'll have to figure that out.. How about like black carpet.. I'll get a black dash cover. Tan seats tan door panels and I could get a replacement steering wheel.

That could look good.

Yep. Was tan a stock color though? If so do you think I could find it at a Jy?

I know I've seen tan B2s around here. I can't specifically recall ever seeing it in a Ranger, but I think it was available.

Finding any given part, especially of a certain color, in a JY is always a crap-shoot though.

i was pulling the back window out an 88 tan ranger at pick n pull, yep there stock options, funny thing was the tan paint on the exterior was faded to look like old style toliet pink

I figured they did, I just can't remember ever seeing it with my own eyes and I'm too lazy to reach over and grab the LMC catalog and look.

wait, so "sand" is a b2 stock color? and black is a stock color for rangers?

Thanks for that website. Its helping out.
