So I swapped my transmission and pulled it like 2 more times trying to get it all together and working.
Works great, truck runs great, SO I decide, lets put the linkage together.
Turns out it's different, the outer shifter level is slightly different (wrong position, and it has a male end not a female end)
I pulled the pin out of my old transmission and took off the outer shifter piece to swap it into the new transmission.
I go to take the same pin out on the new tranny and it cuts off. Big deal right,I'll just drill it out. SO my friend breaks a drill bit off inside the pin. Now its FUBAR and nothing has been able to remove my pin to change the thing.
Even tried drilling out the drill bit, using a center punch, everything.
So, am I completely screwed? Or does anyone know how to re-route my linkage or punch of the shifter knob thing that makes it male? If not I'm grinding the shifter off and JB welding the old on on to it lol
I'll have it welded after I make sure it works =p
