Finally found headers that will install with 5.0/AOD combo. Once installed, would like to go to dual exhaust.

Have any of you done dual exhaust on BII 4X4 V8 swap? If so, could please explain how you routed the exhaust piping? Pics would really be helpful!

Thanks for any help!

Just curious, which headers you go with?

After "extensive" searching and inquiries, I went with L&L Headers. They are the only one who assured me their headers WILL fit my 87 BII 4X4 with the 5.0L/AOD combo. One other said their headers would fit but I would have to use their motor mounts to ensure proper engine placement.

Anyway, I should have them by Friday and will install when I do some upcoming engine mods. I'll let you/other viewers know how it goes.

Dual exhaust routing is hard on a 4x4. It can't run up the driver's side because there are things like driveshaft and transfer cases in the way.

You are probably going to have to take it somewhere to get pipes custom bent.
