I did a 5.0L swap into my 87 BII 4X4 last year. Went with Explorer exhaust manifolds due to header fit problem with the AOD trans.

Has anyone modified their BII (4.0 or 5.0) to dual exhaust? I'm most interest in how you routed the exhaust system.

Thanks for any feedback!

with 4x4 its easier to h it down the passenger side. i prefer a 2 into a single 3 inch myself to 3-320 hp or so..

+1 on the single versus dual on the 4x4. I started with 2.5" through a Flowmaster to dual out of the muffler (both on the passenger side), but didn't like the drone, so moved on to 2.5" off the exhaust manifolds to a 3.5" through a big old diesel muffler to the end. Much more pleasant for cruising--you can actually have a conversation in the cab now.
