86 ranger with new 2.9 liter motor miss on low end

and my truck only really runs bad cold it almost sounds like its gonna run out of gas when i first start it and some times i have to give it throttle for awhile to keep it running

well ranger freak im only 16.....i bought a chiltons book and im gonna see about cleaning out all of my filters and everything and checking to see if i have a air filter leak or a vaccume leak because that was the problem with my 92 even though everyone thought it was a fuel pump shut off switch or somethin like that

o and i bought the chiltons book so that i could maybe find something that is wired up wrong or something like that

were do i buy a book thats all about rangers?

i bought mine at oreily auto parts.......any parts store should have them..they say chiltons at the top i think and they say what kind they are for.....make sure you get the right year though because i think they make 2 or 3 for the ranger.....libraries even have them i think....i only paid $25 for mine

Get a shop manual if you can find one. EVTMs are also worth it. The shop manual I have for my Tempo has saved me a lot of time. Usually you can find them pretty cheap used on Ebay.
