So im doing a solid axle swap on my 86 ranger, im putting a dana 44 hp up front and a 9 inch in the rear. I bought some radius arm drop brackets for a 4-6 inch lift and got everything set up and together and my coils seem to arch forward. I talked to some guys at the local 4x4 shop and they said to make sure my caster angle is correct. They told me that i need to make sure my upper ball joint is behind my lower ball joint, and it is.

As for where my question comes in, what do I do to fix that forward arch?
-should I remount my RA brackets further back or remount new upper coil brackets ?

Is the truck's full weight on the coils in that pic?
If not, then it's probably not an issue, the coils should straighten out as the suspension compresses.

If that is with them loaded, try adding some metal to the outside edge of your upper bucket so that it supports the part of the coil that protrudes out past it (or new buckets originally designed for those coils should work too).

That isnt full weight, just partial. When i put full weight on it the arches forward more. Im thinking about just getting some james duff coil towers.

Did you move the axle forward at all?

I mounted the radius arms off the bottom hole from the transmission cross member and the axle came up to this location. I have read many build threads of ranger sas with the same setup and theirs lined up alot closer
