ok im converting my 88 ranger to a stick shift. I have everything but the clutch pedal assembly i found one for sale but its from an 86 ranger does anyone know if this will work in a 88

Thanks
Jeff

Yes it will.

But it will have an extra bracket welded to the arm to operate
the '83-87 style clutch switch, just ignore that arm it isn't used in an 88,
the early switch is breakage prone.

your '88 uses the clutch multifunction switch that mounts coaxially
on the clutch master cylinder pushrod.
