'83 Ranger Driver Door Latch

Where can I purchase a replacement driver door latch assembly for an
'83 Ranger? Will a Dorman 940-400 work as a suitable replacement?

I'd try local boneyards. The latch should fit from a bunch of years. I want to say up to 1990, but don't bet the donut. The latch may even stay the same after that.
If you go LMC, it will be more than a U-pull part, or a boneyard. I do not know if they have NOS, or re-furb old parts. If you can get the actual part number from a Ford parts guy you can search for that. Maybe ebay has some for sale... or amazon.
