Reading what he wrote on in his suicide note, it's obvious the kid was attention starved and was looking for anything he could get. Breaking up with his girlfriend probably sealed the deal.

Man, what is with these kids? When I broke up with my girlfriend at 17 I was upset but didn't go out on a shooting...what the hell is up with that?

The major news companies are saying it was a SKS, the local ones are calling it a AK-47, I would think by now they would have that detail finalized.

A guy I work with had is wife's best friend shot and killed. It is freaky because I don't know how many times I have been to that mall, I got my Haynes for my Ranger in the Barnes and Nobles right beside that particular store. We would usually take a stroll thru Von Maur to see all they decorations and live Christmas music.

You see they threw his buddy in jail too, made a threat to 'Cap' some girl who criticized 'Robbie'. Found some guns at his residence as well. I swear.

concealed carry can be a double edged thing.the county i live in has one of the highest concealed carry percentages in california and its easy to get one.that also means that you have to be careful because so many road raging idiots have pistols to back up their arguements!i know several crazy john wayne types who could easily wind up shooting someone while drunk or pissed off.i keep a big hunting knife in my truck and carry a pocket knife but i don't want to escalate situations with a gun.plus i only want to shoot beer cans with my 9mm,not know what its like to kill a person.deer blood is one thing but i'de rather run and call the cops than shoot someone(all bets are off at home though-you wake me up at night and you could catch a bullet.)i agree with you though-somebody should have popped that kid or at least pepper sprayed him.

Stupid lil boy...he needed to be whipped as a kid. He broke up with his girlfriend, fired from McD's, and had previous drug abuse. Stirring up memories from Columbine and similar incidents?

Starving attention mumbo jumbo. He's a lil messed up in the head, and hes just another demented white teen in rural America dealing with depression. He wants to be remembered...a martyr of sorts? I have no sympathy for him or his kind...

IMHO, I think the main problem is parents who don't do their job and teach kids right from wrong. The gradeschool I went to, I saw plenty of kids who were being "raised" by the disfunctional school system. Their parents didn't want to discipline them or teach them right from wrong, they either wanted to be their kids friends or they didn't want anything to do with their kid (go away son, ya bother me mentality).

The part of it that really shocked me was that after graduation I bumped into a kid who was a nasty bully. He apoligized for acting the way he did and also said that he was surprised that I never brought a gun to school and just started shooting. I was appalled to learn that he wasn't the only one who expected me to do such a thing! Hell, I never even entertained that thought as a daydream! The closest thing I came to thinking along those lines was the thought that an old schoolbuilding might be a fun place to play an indoor game of paintball. But bringing a real gun to school to shoot at people? That thought never crossed my mind, I was raised to see that as beyond pale.

I'd get fired pretty quick. Food places and I don't get along, I found out real quick when I had a job at a shitty sub shop (only place I was ever fired from). I hated that job a lot, mainly the smell and the ridiculously stupid people. It's just not for some people.

Hardware store and power equipment is where I had the most fun and most responsibility to make sure I got done what needed to get done. If someone is on my back all of the time, I tend to leave pretty quickly.

I write software now, and I can stand it most days. This is my 5th year, I cannot believe how fast time has gone by since I graduated. If I could go back, I probably would have done something else though.
