'78 F-100. good idea?

I was never aware of a body size difference between an f100 and f150. What production years was this?

Downsized was probably the wrong word to use, I was actually referring to the suspension and not the body. The body was the same size as the F-150, but the suspension was weaker though still not as light duty as what the Ranger is now. I know that prior to the introduction of the F-150 the F-100 suspension was comparable to it.

Hey guys, another question on this topic, a guy near me has a 77 f250 for sale it has a 351 and a c6 in it, he says is has a d44 front and a d60 rear, does this mean it might have been a snowfighter package? And the truck had the engine redone new car and intake and valves the whole 9 yards along with new tires and rims, the bodys beat, and its bene sitting for 10 years scince the rebuild, what's a ballpark price for something like this? and if not the whole thing he says hell sell parts, so are the axels worth getting a hold of? For my 99 ranger? Sorry if this is considered thread jacking idk

could just be a regular F-250. Does it have any signs of it having controls in the interior? Or a sticker below the gauges that reads "do not exceed 40mph when plow is installed" or things of that nature? Snofighters are heavy duty and usually have a D60 front.
