Going to buy my son a 76 F-150 4x4 for 250$ It's been his dream truck for a long time. Been looking and found one that is rusted out on the tub in the passenger side. Engine runs but the float is sticking in the carb. Looks decent except for the floor boards and one door that was replaced.

Well a fixer upper is a great father and son project. Plus he might learn something.

yea, or wreck it like alot of first time drivers too(atleast f-150s are safe), either way a 250$ truck is a great investment. i still dont get why parents buy there kids brand new cars when they just get thier license and im over here doing odd jobs just to keep my truck insured...

Just to point out, Not all first time drivers suck. The only dent that i've seen caused with me around was... was caused by my dad last night. and i've only gotten close to in accidents because people slamming on the breaks, or pulling out in front of me in a 2 lane road when they are turning onto it...they were doing a right and pulled into the middle lane...almost hit the poor bastard!:icon_thumby:

i know i know, not all new drivers suck. ive just had a rash of people i know getting there first car and wrecking them, hell, ive had one acident off road where i wrapped around a tree cause of my 2 moronic friends sitting next to me. ive never had any acidents/tickets on the road ever, and im a better driver that half my family. guess it comes from paying for my own truck and having to fix it out of pocket....

i've had 2 tickets, but 1 was a rolling stop on a dirt road and the 2nd was a left on red in a small town that was deserted ( wouldn't have gone without no traffic..wasn't paying attention that i was actually making a left turn)
