Im putting a new sound system-headunit and 4 6x9 speakers-in my boat. Theres a spot for the front ones but i need to make boxes for the other 2. Should I make enclosed boxes or just put in a piece of wood with the hole to mount it in. If I make boxes, how big should they be? Thanks

unless someone has any better suggestions, this is the gear i will be using.

Unless there subs you don't need a box, you can just screw them tightly to wood(make sure there tight for better sound and connection).

it'll probably sound slightly better with a box. and you'll keep bugs and stuff out of the spider and what not, inner workings of the speaker.

i say use a box. size wise, it probably doesn't really matter. just buy some real cheap ones off the internet or something. or just get their dimensions and make them yourself.

it'll be more of a finished look.
