Well I was going to go for a SAS on my 98 ranger. but when I was @ home in northern wisconsin I found a very nice 1968 f100 4x4 with a 390 4spd with barly any rust with 100,000 miles for get this $3500 I couldn't pass it up so the plans i had for the ranger are now put on the way back burner I got a new toy to play with did I mention that it has a 4 inch lift with 35inch wild country mudders with 100% tread. The last time it was registerd was in 88 since then it got a frame up resto ( - the wiring ) the frame and all was striped and painted. WHOO HOO what a find.

Killer man, that thing have front drums?

There's nothing wrong with manual four wheel drums, unless you want to stop fast....

Better measure the stroke to make sure a it's a 390 that was swapped in.. cause it isn't factory...

I am working on the pics I am trying to set up a cardomain page. so I can show off my cars. AS far as I know the stock motors for that year were the 390 and the 428 but I could be mistakin.

The stock V-8's were the 302, 352, 360 and the 390. Where abouts in Northen Wisconsin, can't be far from me.

Actually, I think 1967 was the last year for the 352 in the light duty trucks. For 68, the engine options were 240 and 300 6 cylinders and 360 and 390 8 cylinders. The 302 was a mid year addition to 1969.

haha, that sounds like a oxymoron, should read "stop quick".

I always loved those lower 60's F-100s. They were beautiful.
