so yea....i was driving my bronco earlier. and its raing here. i stopped at a red light and saw a ugly little chevy so i figured what the hell. i figured id race him. so we started off normal got to about 20 or 25....then i crammed it and i swear i didnt go nowhere. i had the wheels spinnin at 65 and i wasnt moving an inch. it was awesome. figureing i have 33s with stock gears.

A guy in HS told me about how he had his fox body mustang doing 110 in the snow and didnt move an inch.

I hit about 55-60 mph in a 4 cyl S10 standing still on ice. It was a manual too so I just sat there banging through the gears, not moving. :3gears:

i had my old 91 escort gt winter beater up to 110 (tach pegged in 4th) trying to get up my parents steep ass driveway in like 8 inches of snow. it was gravel so if you kept spinning you'd dig down and eventually hit the rocks... took a few mins but i made it up.

nice, i got my mammas expedition to get to 85 in a water puddle going like 3 MPH.

my 95 escort will do that if i punch it in 1st or 2nd above 4k, and sometimes 3rd if its cold out.

:)

got my tach topped out (140) in 4th on snow goin zippo. it sucked cause i was tryin to go at a 4 way stop and hoped upshifting would give less torque and get me movin' some guy in a civic got pissed off and took off. i got no traction.boo! pluss it wass a little inclined (Maybe 3-4 degrees, no biggie)

how is spinning your tires at a high rate of speed on ice impressive?

for that matter, spinning them on pavement is only impressive to the..erm...simpler minded folks in the crowd. anyone that knows how to drive knows that a good hook is much more impressive than a spin.

33's on wet roads. I am guessing the are a more aggressive tread? They won't grab for their lives on wet roads.
