Hi folks
wanted to join and say hi real quick as usually I dont have
alot of extra time to get to these forums.
My career revolves around car and suvs, and my latest
vehicle Ive aquired is insteresting.
Some may hate it, some my not, but still wanted to take a few
minutes and introduce myself and post a pic or two.
Its a project Ive taken over and so far Im pretty happy with
the progress..

Welcome! That's a pretty cool truck. I've always liked that body style Ranchero. What kind of ranger are you running?

Ah, look under the Ranchero

I'd lift the rear a little more
Need a little more backspace on the wheels
Cool keep plugging away :icon_thumby:

That's cool, welcome to TRS:icon_thumby:

the donar drivetrain

was a nice rust free Tucson 93 Ranger 4x4
its still running the EFI 2.3L motor, 5 spd etc..
AC, heater all work and intact still....
the donar truck only had like 73k on it too.
still stuck on what color to do the interior/exterior...
(the current white inside wasnt done by me..)
Im lifting the back another inch or two this week :)

Im running 30x9.50 15 Michelin tires on
some 15x8 MT alloy rims
currently it has the Ranger front seats and
steering column, and some of the original Ranger
AC controls etc..
they need to be lowered for clearance..

What a unique machine. I hope you do it even more justice and finish it up nicely.

That early Ranchero looks Falcon-based. Be interested to know how much that weighs when complete.

Reminds me of the first car I had, 64 Fairlane 260 V8 with a 2 speed auto trans.
I like yours WAY better.

Some history here: http://www.dearbornclassics.com/ranchero.html

Your finished product photo could go here: http://www.dearbornclassics.com/cc.ranch.htm

Parts ain't cheap http://www.dearbornclassics.com/60-63-ranchero-tailgate-bull-emblem.html but you GOTTA have that!

The Ranchero-Falcon's are one of my favorites! Do I spy a RBV floor pan in that too?

I want to follow this. Make sure you make a build thread!

that is a very unique vehicle. I have to be honest, I think that a 4x4 ranchero is 100% B.A. :icon_thumby: keep it up man, and I would also like to see some pics of the build!

Looks like Ranger all the way from the firewall, down to the floorboards... even the core support from the looks of it. Very cool rig, I like it!

thanks

alot was done by a buddy of mine
but yeah, alot of it is still Ranger firewall and other areas...
Runs and drives great for the most part..
will be much more fun to drive at least with an
interior in it :)

Is the outside staying white? :icon_bounceblue:
