I am interested in trying to swap my 50mm TB for the escape 60mm version but I'm not sure what, if anything, will need to be adapted to make this work and be reliable. This is my only vehicle for now so I can't afford any surprises. It seems pretty straight forward but I've seen some people say you need to check for sealing at the seat, throttle position sensor issues, and other concerns. I've got a 2003 with the K&N air intake kit. Anybody know what I'll be up against?:icon_confused:

welcome to TRS...

I think you are the first one to try this, If i were you i would get an intake manafold from the junk yard and do all of the test fitting to it and you can cut it up and reweld it without having your truck down for any amount of time.

but a bigger TB might be counter productive, big TB's will gain you a slight few extra horse power but you would lose torque as much as 10ft-lbs, for a car its fine but trucks need torque.
