Swapping in a 5 speed R1HD from the same ranger. Both trucks are 02 4.0 4x4. I have the manual ecm in and i also have the entire manual wiring harness out of the manual ranger. Instead of jumping and splicing wires, can i just run his entire harness from the ecm throuought the engine bay, and then just plug it back into the interior harness(drivers side of the motor). I havent taken mine out so i dont know if they are the same but maybe somebody that knows can help me out.

You should be fine. Probably a closer connection you could make. Try following the wires from the transmission back and see what you've got at the first connector you come to.
