Clean your room before you criticise the world.
Engines is goes very vroom?

It's a jeep, let's be honest, it was going to explode on its own sooner than later anyway.

We had a customer hook his 4 cylinder 5 speed Escape behind his motorhome and take off. Unfortunately the shifter was in low gear and he heard an explosion at about 45 mph. He's a good guy but he drinks early and often.

im surprised the jeep had enough traction to turn the motor, I recall helping pull-start a tractor and if you tried using 1st or 2nd gear the resistance was too much and you just slid the tires, had to be in high gear. ( which would be the automotive equivalent of 1st, 22mph tops)

"Towing a vehicle is a tricky process that requires thoroughly reading the owner’s manual. " per the article.

Well, there ya go! Shame on Jeep for making people read directions!!! Gonna be a class-action lawsuit over that, I bet.....

Yeah NYT put out an article against critical thinking.... Its harmful to people who don't think or something

Yup, but here it was either turn or drag...

It's a Jeep thing... You wouldn't understand.

Think of the carnage if it had just been drug down the highway... Ha ha 🤣
all 4 tires blown off rims drug flat!!! Like square wheels ha ha

I saw a boat go by on the highway I live on last summer, tandem axle with the little 8” wheels. the bearings must of locked up on the one back tire, there was no tire, just a rim throwing sparks and almost 1/2 of it was gone.

Which begs the question.... how do you not notice these things? I mean good lord how strong was that RV's engine that they couldn't feel the resistance from the jeep being stuck in low gear? And how can you tow a trailer throwing sparks, missing a tire and not feel it let alone ever glance in your side mirror to see the carnage?

good questions, I wondered myself as I heard the rim-sliding trailer come & go by. was a hell of a noise, imagine if the tow vehicle had a fuel leak.
