5.0 mustang trany adaptor plate for 2.3 engine

I've seen it done before but............the bell housings will unbolt from the body of the transmission. The only other problem I see is the pilot bearing between the input shafts. The 5.0 transmission input pilot shaft is bigger than the 2.3.

It said the 5.0 flywheel and clutch had to be used. I'm guessing that is how it works. It seems a cable is used instead of a hydraulic clutch. Mite be a bit of work or money to swap over. It is for turbo cars but seems like a good way to get a heavy duty trans and clutch on a 2.3 ranger. Just was wondering if it had been done, adaptor plate was $185. but flywheel, tranny, and clutch would cost a bit. Then swapping clutch peddle over to cable style.
