5.0 fuel set up

Yes, Rangers had returnless style fuel system, but I'm not sure what years they were. I know its no older than 98...The ranger and explorer fuel tanks mount in the same location (along the framerail), you might be able to take the explorer tank and mount it in the ranger IF the two sending units dont have the same style mounting rings/tabs...

my donar got crushed b4 i could grab the sending unit to gut, are the v6 explorer and rangers of any year returnless and produce the same psi?
99~2001 V6 and V8 Explorers run at the same pressure as 98+ Rangers (except 98~00 3.0L Ranger Flex Fuel). Here's the full list:

1998 and earlier Explorer:
30~45 PSI variable
Vacuum regulated at fuel rail
Return fuel system

1999~2001 Explorer:
65 PSI constant
Regulated in tank
Mechanical Returnless system

1997 and earlier EFI Ranger
30~45 PSI variable
Vacuum regulated at fuel rail
Return fuel system

1998~2000 Ranger 3.0L Flex-fuel:
55 PSI constant
Regulated in tank
Mechanical Returnless system

1998~2000 Ranger (exc. Flex-fuel):
64 PSI constant
Regulated in tank
Mechanical Returnless system

2001~2010 Ranger (all):
64 PSI constant
Regulated in tank
Mechanical Returnless system

so that 1psi difference between the ranger and explorer wont make a big difference if i have to settle with one of those. I took the cab and bed off today to box in part of the frame and paint it so running fuel lines wont be an issue at all

The actual specs with tolerance are 64 +/-8 PSI and 65 +/-8 PSI. So, in the real world, there is no difference. FWIW, my gauge always reads 69~70 PSI.

98~2001.5 2.5L Ranger runs at 64 +/- 8 PSI.
