4Wheelparts.com am I being reasonable.

I gotta say that the 1994 Intrepid (second year of the 12 year run of Intrepids) was damn near bulletproof. the only gripes I had about that car was the hvac system was garbage and the headlight system was not designed well. the rest of that car would probably still be driving after a nuclear holocaust if it hadn't got totalled.

I had an Intrepid but I can't remember what year. The thing was a reliability nightmare. It stranded me twice and I traded it in after the second time. Thankfully, both times, it was repaired under warranty. The first was a failed fuel pump and the second was the transmission. So I dumped it while I was ahead. Weird design. Longitudinally mounted engine on a transverse transmission. That made it easy to work on. Good thing since working on it was evidently a regular thing.

lol yeah the transmissions were a problem in the early ones. I guess I got lucky. the transmission was finicky, as in it would shift wierd if the fluid was a half quart down, but other than that, nearly 200k miles on it and it kept going and going... I nearly sunk it in a river, blew out a front timing cover seal and blew out the entire crank case of oil coming home from college (the entire car had a fine mist of oil on it...) and it still kept going... even another 50k miles. that front timing chain seal was the only serious mechanical issue that I had with it (not counting the a/c which as I mentioned was garbage) and other than normal maintenance and a few little sensors and wheel bearings, it was great. and I beat that car like it was a red headed step child that owed me money.

No. I would not.

Thats fine. If all they want to do is brick and mortar business, then they should remove the website.

Leaving a customer hanging for a month without communicating is bad business and shows a total lack of customer service. You have to communicate. You have to let the customer know whats going on. You have to let the customer know that you value your relationship with them. Covid or no covid, customer service still counts.

I have purchased from them a few times in the past. I don't remember any problem. So they must have done OK. But I still stand by my original recommendation for this case.

I operated an electrical contracting business years ago. One Sunday night, between Christmas and New years eve, I was in the main teledata room for a major insurance company replacing breaker panels - with the flu and a 102 degree fever, all night long. Because that was the window they could give me to do the job and it had to be done. That's customer service.
Maybe you are one of the lucky ones, or just on that side of the fence.

My best friend does HVAC, he tried helping a lady by installing a mini split unit just like he did for her neighbor across the hallway. Maybe she had more time than money, but took him to court because she didnt wanna pay. Long story short she ended up getting an ac unit for free, and he had to pay her too. She just told the judge he didnt spend as much time working at her place as he did at the neighbors place.

Also this story and yours is why I am not a hero or villian, but perhaps an anti hero.

Insurance companies are evil. Also had you not done that, they probably would have managed just fine, it wouldn't have been the end of the world.

Now if you charged them up the A$$ for such a hero move, or were risking losing the contract, then I understand, and would have done the same....otherwise your are just unnecessarily raising the bar for everyone else who would probably stay home in that situation so they can recover faster and not get anyone else sick.

I think you and I are two very different people based on our life experiences.

I've stuck my neck out and busted my a$$ for many throughout life, and just about every time my head got off and a$$ got kicked. Not worth it anymore.

Anyways back to the point, I think options here are wait or get a refund. Maybe a little more heads up from cust svc woulda been nice, but it could be worse.

Orange man is trying to shut down the mail sorter. He is blatantly taking over our country to claim as his own as dictator and nobody seems to notice lol

Just an update. Been busy and no one else has the suspension so I decided to give it another week. But I still didn’t hear anything so I called in today. Took about 40 min to get a person on the phone. Lady was real nice and tried calling Skyjacker but they put her on hold a few times the just hung up on her. So I went a head and canceled. Which sucks because I lost almost 2 months waiting. Also it really was the setup I wanted. But oh well life goes on. I think I’m gonna try and do a DIY junkyard build instead. Should be cheaper and funner. Now I just have to wait and see how long it takes to get my money back.

Its like we say at work about anyone out of earshot: "Eff those guys"....
